Dachan Successfully Holds Carbon Inventory Meeting, Accelerating ESG Transformation

In the context of increasingly severe global climate change, China has resolutely taken on the responsibility of a major country by proposing the ambitious goals of "peaking carbon emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060," and has established a "1+N" policy system to achieve this. Guided by this dual carbon strategy, Dachan has actively responded to the national call and taken the lead in embarking on the path of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) transformation.

Before the National Day holiday, Dachan successfully held its first carbon inventory meeting, with the Bengbu food factory serving as the starting point. The meeting emphasized the importance and urgency of ESG transformation and looked forward to providing directional guidance and valuable experience for Dachan's ESG transformation through in-depth cooperation with the KPMG team.

After the meeting began, the KPMG team conducted ESG knowledge training for personnel from non-Bengbu food factories, helping them deeply understand the connotation and importance of ESG. Additionally, they conducted a field inventory with relevant responsible persons from the Bengbu food factory, reintroducing the needs and driving factors of environmental and carbon inventory, as well as the scope of greenhouse gas emissions, including the definitions of direct and indirect emissions. The field inventory process was intense but orderly.

After eight consecutive hours of intense work, the meeting comprehensively confirmed various data, involving multiple departments such as security, engineering, warehousing, finance, and administration. Participants actively shared their insights and experiences from the meeting and expressed their intentions to use this meeting as an opportunity to further promote and deepen ESG transformation efforts within their respective departments.

In the future, Dachan will continue to uphold the concept of sustainable development, deepen ESG transformation practices, and contribute more to achieving the national dual carbon goals and global climate governance.
